Saturday cricket report

Another bad Saturday for our cricket teams, Balderton who are in danger of relegation from Division A after a 6 wicket defeat at Calverton. Chris Dobbie scored 54 in a total of 133.

Collingham only managed 81 all out chasing 172/9 in their top three clash at Carrington Caribs. Leaders Hucknall won again and with the Dale Field side now in 3rd place an immediate return to Division B looks to be slipping away.

In Division D Newark took 9 points from a tie with Risley, both teams finishing on 128.

Farndons match at Underwood was postponed due to a waterlogged square.

Not much better for the 2nd XI's with Farndon, Collingham (all out for 47) and Newark (even worse all out for 36) suffering defeats.

That leaves the team of the week award going to Balderton 2nd XI, Stuart Lees top scored with 40 out of a total of 179/8 as they become the only local side with a victory to their name.
