Gordon Whelbourn Running Week

Newark A C are in the process of organising the 23rd consecutive Gordon Whelbourn Week, which this year will be run from Monday 2nd June culminating on the 6th June with the open Friday 10K from Newark's Rugby Club.

The week covers 5 races, the first 4 races each being between 3 and 3.5 miles, and the last, as stated above, an approx. 10K.   Runners are invited to do as many or as few races as they wish to participate in.  The main aim is for a friendly and good-humoured atmosphere.

Runners use the 5 events for different reasons: some try to sharpen up for following races; some to enjoy the event, some to loose a bit of weight.  Main issue: Enjoy your own race!

Finishers of all 5 races will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Entry forms are available on the club website, www.newarkac.co.uk
