This season’s showpiece will be contested between Coddington and Castle Barge 95. Coddington booked their return to Lowfield’s with a single goal victory at Farndon Utd, Kevin Hyland getting the match winner.
Castle Barge go into their first ever final thanks to a 3-0 victory over Division One side Holy Trinty, Stuart Bennett 2 and Zak Ashmore the men on target.
Premier Division
Only two matches played. The local derby between Kings Arms and RHP Social was a close affair with the honours going to the home side thanks to a brace from John Morris. Matt Roach scoring for RHP. Joe Sharpe scored two in BG Hawtonville’s 4-2 win at Wheatsheaf United.
Division One
Chesters put themselves back in the promotion race with a 2-1 victory at Gunthorpe. Barkstone maintained top despite dropping two points at Balderton Ath, an excellent comeback for the home team. Farnsfield secured back to back victories to lift them out of the drop zone.
Division Two
EBS Shelford became the first side to be promoted after they thumped third place team Crown, B. Falconer scoring a hat trick in a 5-1 victory. Wheatsheaf Res won the battle of the bottom two at Newark Town Res. Murden and Atkins with two apiece in a 4-2 victory.
Goals from Cree and Woolnough where enough to see RHP Res maintain second place while in the Division’s other match Zenith won 2-1 at cup finalists AC Grove
Divison Three
Wins for second placed RHP A 3-2 at home to Sawmill and Aslockton 4-0 at Vodafone kept the pressure on leaders Coddington Res while at the bottom Flowserve thumped Hobgoblin 5-1 with a hat trick from Sam Lowe who has played for both sides this season.
