Sad loss to football

Nottingham Forest have announced the death of Balderton born Academy Director Bob Fairhall at the age of 74.

Bob started his sporting career in Newark before moving on to play for Mansfield and Grantham. He first saw Forest play in the wartime League South and became a shareholder before being elected to the board in 1994. In July 1999 when the plc changed he was asked to become a Academy Director, a position he held until his death.
