Dean is the Presenter of Boundary Sound’s Northern Soul Show.  Dean was born, raised and schooled in Newark and has been involved with Boundary Sound almost from it’s beginning.  

Dean’s passion for (northern) soul music can only be rivalled with his love of the football team that plays in the North West of England and are nicknamed the red devils.

Dean started his musical adventures from as young as 7 when he used to sing in the Newark Parish Church Choir until he was 16.  His latter years in the choir, however, saw a change in Dean’s musical taste to the popular soul music that was played in the clubs and the youth clubs and subsequently Dean started collecting northern and rare soul records and DJ-ing at any opportunity that he could get.

Dean has DJ’d at northern soul venues the length and breadth of the UK and also in Europe and although he has pretty much hung up his headphone and microphone at venues, he has immense pleasure in presenting the northern soul show on Boundary Sound which often includes live and telephone interviews with international artists.
