Four NOTFAST members joined the 750 other runners at The Mansfield Half Marathon. 

Jackie and Jill ran up the hills to prove that they could do it.  Jill McIntyre came down with a good run to finish in 2h04m07s and Jackie Duers came tumbling after in 2h14m26s.

Two of NOTFAST’s geri-athletes finished comfortably.  A geri-athlete is over 65y old.  Colin Green finished in 2h02m20s and George Combes in 2h41m00s.

It was a good event starting from Berry Hill and finishing on the running track.  There were plenty of drinks and marshalls along the route.  Although the day was hot and sultry the sun stayed hidden which stopped the temperature soaring out of control.  Much of the route was on major roads which had impressively been closed to traffic.

Jackie Duers, Jill McIntyre and David Gill have done two of the Holme Pierrepont Grand Prix Series which are reported as really good, friendly and enjoyable.  The remaining two races are this week so results will be available next week.
