Body found in Trent
Nottinghamshire police are investigating after the body of a man was found in the River Trent in Newark.
Police were called to Mill Lane at 8am this morning, and have cordoned off the scene while divers recover the body.
A spokesman said that it was too early to speculate on the circumstances of the death, or the identity of the man, but house to house enquiries are already underway.
