SOUTH NOTTS VILLAGE CRICKET LEAGUE

DIVISION A

A century for ALAN JACKSON and 77 from TIM CLIPSHAM helped Balderton to another 15 points as they enjoy a good start to the season. Jacko’s side hit 230-6 with Gedling & Sherwood being restricted to 183-4 in reply. Balderton are 4th in the league after two matches

DIVISION C

Collingham made it two wins out of two when they brushed past visitors West Bridgefordians at Dale Field, and this it wasn’t the David Pipes show. Excellent bowling from MICHAEL HORTON 4-13 and OLIVER DYSON 4-29 skittled the visitors out for 132. PIPES hit 40 and JOHNATHON TODD 38 as the figure was passed for the loss of four wickets.

DIVISION D

Another bad day for Newark, losing by 58 runs against Wilsons at Kelham Road. The visitors amassed 183-8 with PETER FORSTER taking 4-34. In reply ROBIN CURTIS hit 69 in a total of 125 all out.

DIVIVION E

Farndon’s football manager ANDY DUCKMANTON guided his team to the Newark Alliance Championship in midweek and then scored 65 to help his village gain their first victory of the season on the cricket field. Thrumpton batted first and scored 198-8, Farndon passed the total for the loss of eight wickets to collect 19 points. 

DIVISION G

Collingham 2nds collected a maximum 20 points from their match at Beeston and Toton.

Batting first Collingham’s hero was CHARLIE LUCAS with 107 not out in a total of 202-4 in reply the home side made 113 all out

 

DIVISION J

 

Despite 57 from ROBERT CHAPPELL Flintham lost by a massive 106 runs to Belvoir 2nds

 

DIVISION L

 

PAUL LAMBERT hits 92 as Balderton 2nds beat Willougby by five wickets.
