Nottinghamshire Community Health (NCH) was recently rated as one of the best healthcare organisations to work for in the UK, as part of the Healthcare 100 competition. This is an annual national award which judges organisations for their employment practices; working relationships; staff engagement and staff development and as part of the judging process tests organisations against its own self assessment by surveying a significant number of its staff. 1000 NCH staff were surveyed and were so positive in their responses that NCH was included in the top 100 and in fact made it to the top third.

The Department of Health is a sponsor for the Healthcare 100 competition, which recognises the top healthcare employers as organisations whose staff are confident and proud of the services they provide, and in their ability to keep improving them. They are also thought to have staff who are engaged with their employer and who are motivated to put patients first.
