A walking group is keen for others to join them as they walk their way to health.

The Barnbygate Strollers meet most Wednesdays at 10am outside the Barnbygate Doctors' Surgery in Newark.

Group members who are trained walk leaders take turns to lead the walks around Newark and the surrounding areas.  Previous walks have been at Balderton, Coddington, Flintham, Farndon, Southwell and Halam. The group often catches the bus to enable them to add variety to their walks and to visit different villages.

New members are always welcome to join the group and walks are at a steady pace, suitable for beginners.

Suitable footwear should be worn and walkers are advised to carry a drink of water with them.
