I'm sure that all Club Members will be delighted to know that this was George Combes NINETIETH Half Marathon!!,a total of some 1188 miles. Notfast congratulates you George !.  ...(George started running at 60...15 years on..you work it out !!)

Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington was the venue for the annual 10k, all' offroad' on an undulating course run over 2 laps in again perfect conditions and in itself the nearest one could get to a perfect course.
Kate Fisher, Andy Pritchett and Bob Oakham were in the 653 strong field and finished in respective times of, Kate 53.21, Andy 49.42 and Bob 57.58. All three exceeded their expected times, and the t-shirts wern't bad either !

On Sunny Sunday, David Gill was to be found at Darley Dale running in the East Midlands Cross- Country League, he was pleased with his time of 47.33 on a fine but slippery surface after overnight frost. Davids run was significant in that it meant that all of the League runs had Notfast representation, his lone run finishing the season giving The Club a final position that was not last. It is a first for Notfast to participate in all legs of the Series.

The only Club Member not to get the best of the weekend weather was Liz Fleuty. Liz took on the Clumber Sprint Duathlon. Her menu went like this...an Entree of a 5k run in 25.31 followed by a 20k Main Course Bike Ride in 46.04, finally 'Pud' in the shape of another 2.5 run in 13.29..all washed down with some cold drizzle ! Liz Walton attended as 'support' but was somewhat distracted by Olympian James Cracknells distinct qualities...Liz F nonetheless finished 4th in her age category

Phew,!..havn't we been busy then !
