Criminal Damage – A1 at Foston
Police are appealing to witnesses and warning drivers after another curtain side lorry was slashed on the A1.
This incident took place some time between 10pm on March 2 and 5.13am on March 3 in a lay-by off the A1 at Foston. Criminals slashed the side to the lorry and then cut open one of the boxes on the load. It is thought they were checking the load for suitability for theft – nothing was taken.
This is part of an ongoing series of crimes on the A1 and officers are urging drivers to use recognised truck stops with CCTV coverage. They are also appealing for motorists to be vigilant for suspicious activity in lay-bys.
