PHAB club for Newark

Phab Midlands Region are opening a club where physically disabled and non-disabled people can share in fun, activities and outings.

Phab ( Physically Disabled and Able Bodied) is a national charity through which local volunteers run clubs where people of all physical ability levels come together on equal terms for fun, friendship and enjoyment.   Activities such as tenpin bowling, skittles, theatre, cinema, quizzes, swimming and more.  The club will also participate in Fun Days and weekends away with people from Phab Clubs in other areas.

We are keen to point out that this club will not be just for disabled people – it’s for both physically disabled AND non-disabled and the non-disabled will have every bit as much fun as the disabled.

Phab’s philosophy is to look for the abilities in people, rather than focussing on their disabilities.  By encouraging its members to do this too, it aims for a society where people with physical impairments can make a valuable contribution and where physically disabled and non-disabled people regard it as natural to mix as equals.

Anyone who may be interested in coming along to a meeting can just turn up at Kelham Hall, Kelham,  at 1.30pm – 3.30pm on Wednesday 10th March or for more information can phone 01564 778617
