Trent Tornadoes remain top of the Notts/Derby basketball league, continuing their perfect season by beating Hucknall 58-24. Newark started the game unusally slowly and only led by five points at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw Newark get back into their usual passing game, with Tom Radford having his best game of the season eventually scoring 13 points. George Burrage also had an excellent game and continued to play strong even when being clearly fouled by the opposition. Half time saw Newark with a comfortable 29-12 lead. 

The second half saw Henry Woodman back to his best with 13 points and new players James Lane, Chris Rollin and Sam Rollin all added to the score. George Woodman added eight points and fought hard against some rough play by Hucknall. The final score reflected Newark's dominance and superior passing.
