Black ice causes driver misery
Motorists suffered yet more black ice misery yesterday in Notts after the latest weather warning from the Met Office.
Predicted widespread icy roads caused misery across the county as outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow fell amid freezing temperatures.
Hospitals also bore the brunt of the icy conditions. At one point on Wednesday afternoon 26 people who had fallen were being seen or assessed at Newark Hospital.
