Newark school celebrates Earth Day

Pupils from Bowbridge Road School in Newark celebrated Earth Day today.

The day started in 1970 on April the 22nd, and has been celebrated ever since across the world.

The pupils of Bowbridge Road School, helped by the Mayor Councillor Bryan Richardson, set off 500 balloons, each carrying an environmental message.

The school is one the counties most environmentally friendly, and currently improvement works are being carried out that with make the school more eco-friendly.
