Name change on the cards again?



A parish council name change will be reconsidered again this week.

Currently the name is "Balderton Parish Council", but some members of the committee want to change the name back to "Balderton Town Council".

The decision to change the name was made in August by Mr Fred Mortimore, but has since split local councilors.

Some members of the council think that Balderton residents should have a referendum on the change of name, but that proposal was out voted eight to two at last week's meeting.

The idea will be brought up at a full council meeting on Wednesday at 7pm at Balderton Village Centre.
