(Back to news) Newark Jazz Festival in the air and online This year is the third time that the popular event has been held in Newark, and draws visitors from around the world. Jazz music will fill the air at various locations around the town, with some events being ticket only. This year, jazz enthusiasts will be able to buy tickets online via the Newark Jazz Festival's website. Stars including Shirley Alexander, East Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra and Claire Martin and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett will all be performing in the town during the festival, which runs from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th May 2008.
