More medals for local kickboxers

Congratulations to Newark Martial Arts Kickboxers after returning from an Open tournament at Erdington Leisure Centre, in Birmingham with a fistful of medals.

Jade Grierson sailed through to the final of best at light continuous and beat current Southern Area champion, Sophie Bennett, from Combat Kickboxing, to take the over 65kg British title.

Sophie Webb fought Megan Kelly in the final from Birmingham to take gold in the -51kg division.

Chelsea Wood took silver after being injured with just seven seconds to go in her final.

Jordan Frost won the boys' 45kg category. Current British EFK,ISKA and BLCC Champion Regis Sugden, took bronze in the semi-finals.

Newark Kickboxers plan a trip to Thailand and the International World Games in April.
