Just wanted to know what everybody thought of Newark has it changed for the best or have we gone too far do you think we could improve Newark and how could we do it and what do the people of Newark really what and not what the council what .

I moved to Newark 17 years ago this town is lovely and some of the people are great people, but a few things that I would change if I could would be.

Close the scrapyard on the trent if this means GIVING them some land somewhere else to operate then thats what it costs and put something nice there not houses or flats.

Stop Newark growing London,Manchester,Birmingham etc are places for congestion not Newark going up Beacon hill is at rush hour is a nightmare since they built all the new estates at the top London road and Balderton are the same at rush hour ,I remeber when Newark rush hour was a few bikes coming out of RHP and a couple of cars now its a costant stream of traffic.

Sell Kelham hall and make a vast profit for the community move the council in to somewhere local.

Get some Police on the streets in the last few years our council tax has risen disgustingly to pay for the Police but all we get are these pretend ones GET SOME REAL ONES OUT THERE on the streets patrolling.

Open the bowling Greeen up again I hear so many stories from people I know about it being the great nightlife hotspot of the past but I never got to see it !!!!

Newark is a great little town keep it little.
