The Town Mayor of Newark is holding a Charity Quiz Night at the Town Hall in Newark. The Entry Fee is £20.00 per team of four and includes a pie and pea supper. All proceeds will be donated to Beaumond House and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. The last Quiz Night in September 09 was a total sell out so please get your entry forms in early. These can be downloaded from the Newark Town Council Website www.newark.gov.uk or obtained by emailing julie.stone@newark.gov.uk.

Newark library will be closed from Monday 8 March and will reopen Monday 29 March to allow a number of improvements to be made to the layout of the building and the organisation of the stock. These improvements will include the installation of self service equipment, a measure that will free up staff to provide direct assistance to customers in choosing stock and answering enquiries.

Nottinghamshire Police will be there to discuss and local issues that may effect you as an individual or as a community.
